Tyana holds the position of Individual Therapist at the Ostronic location of Visions. Her clinical education includes a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University’s Malibu program but she got her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from the University of California Los Angeles. She is currently a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist supervised by Dr. Adam Silberstein.
Tyana has worked across different settings and populations in her few years as a clinician. Her experience includes working in community mental health where she co-led substance abuse and trauma groups with the transitional housing population, psychoeducational groups for middle schoolers, and saw individual clients with a variety of presenting problems such as trauma, anxiety, and depression. Before coming to Visions, she was involved in a few different private practices where she worked mainly with adolescents and adults, honing in on her complex trauma, people pleasing, and anxiety specializations. She is also passionate about working children of immigrants and the BIPOC population.
Outside of her time at Visions, Tyana is an avid adventurer, from day trips and hikes, road trips, and travels. She is also a big fan of exploring restaurants, playing with all the animals that cross her path including her pet cat Jasmine, and advancing her pickleball skills day by day.
