At Visions Treatment Centers, we provide safe and ideal environments for teen mental health treatment. To us, an important part of providing an effective treatment environment for teens is our Therapeutic Day School. This is our academic program aiming to provide a tailor-made curriculum for each student to continue their studies while undergoing treatment and therapy. Not only is our Therapeutic Day School Program important for students who are worried about falling behind on classes and grades, but it provides a rigid schedule and structure for many teens to help facilitate both cognitive and emotional growth while emphasizing social interaction and cooperation between teens despite individualized lesson plans. Furthermore, teens with mental health issues often struggle to get the accommodations they need to successfully learn – our Therapeutic Day School centers around individualized learning, so every teen can experience what it is like to be taught at their own pace.
Visions’ Therapeutic Day School Objectives
School is a critical portion of any young child’s life, and we want to ensure our day school experience allows teens with mental health issues to benefit the most from a specialized environment designed and built by doctors, educators, and experts. At Visions, our Therapeutic Day School objectives are to help teens:
- Complete general education and reintegrate into a mainstream schooling environment
- Graduate from our Therapeutic Day School Program
- Curriculum accredited by the WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges)
- Instill the education necessary to complete the SATs and prep for college
Our Therapeutic Day School is organized and staffed by experienced educators, with several masters-level counselors and clinicians on-site for weekly one-on-one counseling sessions and random drug testing.

Providing Therapeutic Learning and Support
An important facet to any educational program focusing on teens in treatment is continuous access to therapeutic support. At Visions Treatment Centers, we ensure our teens have constant access to both educators and therapists, as well as weekly individualized counseling sessions to help teens work through and address any concerns and issues they may be facing. We aim to successfully leverage a clinical approach to education, developing an academic experience to help teens graduate and get accepted into esteemed colleges and universities across the nation. We want teens to reach their full academic potential despite mental health-related difficulties and prior setbacks. Via our one-on-one approach, we hope to do away with the issues surrounding conventional pedagogy and provide an approach to help any teen do well and discover their potential.
