Kathryn Berenson is a secondary therapist at the residential mental health house. She has passionately worked in the field since 2014 and she earned her CADC-III from Loyola Marymount University. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Antioch University in Clinical Psychology and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Kathryn has experience working with addiction, dual diagnosis, and primary mental health. Her empathetic approach helps support, educate, and instill agency in her clients while exploring triggers, cravings, and healthy coping skills and offering relapse prevention. With a strong background in the expressive arts, Kathryn enjoys incorporating artistic components such as movement and art into her sessions. Kathryn is trained in neurofeedback and is Reiki II certified. Prior to joining the Visions team, Kathryn worked in various settings such as detox, sober living, and individualized aftercare planning, and she was Program Director at an outpatient treatment center.
