Nikki Wendell is originally from Long Island, New York. Nikki is the Education Director at Visions Extended Care Teen Treatment Center and The Arrow House Teen Treatment Center. Outside of supervising educators at Visions and The Arrow House, she works closely with students, families, schools, and clinicians to integrate education and advocacy into teen treatment. Nikki’s passion for working with teens lies in having the unique opportunity to help students regain confidence in the classroom by offering creative learning opportunities and implementing individualized student goals. She aims to assess and implement creative ways to support students’ education and guides families through finding the appropriate learning environment for students when they graduate from treatment. Nikki has her Masters in Education from the University of Missouri and is pursuing her Masters and License in Professional Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Nikki has presented seminars to parents, clinicians, and educators on the intersection of education and teen clinical treatment. She specializes in educating parents and educators on education advocacy, student learning disabilities, and further teaching parents how to communicate with schools to support their child’s needs. When Nikki is not at work, she provides executive functioning coaching to students who need extra support (and loves this work!). During her free time, she can be found doing school work, adventuring with her puppy and husband on hikes, traveling to see new places, or hanging out with her family!
