Melissa Scharf is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Once returning back to her hometown of Los Angeles, Melissa attended Phillips Graduate Institute and finished her Masters Degree in Psychology.

For the last seven years, Melissa has worked closely with young adults and their families, helping them bridge the gap of communication and rebuilding hope and strength within the family system. Melissa ran the family program at a local adult treatment center for the last several years and continues to be passionate about family work. Melissa’s training is in CBT and client-centered therapy.

Melissa has joined the Visions Adolescent Treatment Centers’ team as a primary therapist. She works at the mental health house providing care for the residents and facilitating individual and family work. Melissa’s goal is to provide a safe space to allow families to heal during their time at Visions.

In her free time, Melissa can be found spending time with her husband and two children.
