Nikki grew up in Long Island, New York, and lived in NYC up until August 2020 when she decided to move to Los Angeles. Nikki graduated from Wagner College with a bachelor’s in psychology. Following graduation, Nikki coached CrossFit in a CrossFit gym in NYC while interning in a Sports Psychology Practice as a Research Assistant. Being an athlete her whole life and then having the opportunity to coach/teach so many diverse individuals from a mental and physical perspective led Nikki to pursue a career in teaching while mixing in her background of psychology and fitness/movement. Nikki received her Master’s in Educational Counseling and Positive Coaching from the University of Missouri and soon after started teaching Social-Emotional Development to at-risk seventh-grade girls in a low socioeconomic school in Queens, NY. This role helped Nikki to understand the power of working one on one with students who were struggling to help create an individual plan for success based upon their needs. This role led Nikki to work as an Integrated Wellness Coach in NYC as well, working one on one with adolescents struggling with mental health diagnosis and substance abuse. Nikki is now an Educator at Visions Day School. She uses her unique coaching background mixed with her teaching/one-on-one experience to find new ways to motivate each student and help them find their own path. Nikki hopes to help students find ways to stay motivated and excel in school by using their own personal interests and passions to do so.
When Nikki is not at work, she is taking a CrossFit class or coaching one, finding new fun restaurants, or adventuring with friends and family. She loves exploring new places, country music, and crime shows and loves all of the dogs!
