David Kyle Bond, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in the treatment of mood disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression) and OCD, with a special emphasis on treating adolescents and working with their families. He maintains an active private practice in Orange County, where he sees adults, families, and teens on an outpatient basis and routinely assists others in navigating through tricky interpersonal struggles, parent-child connection issues, life transition concerns, and difficulties in the areas of motivation and meaning.
Dr. Bond holds a Ph.D. in Positive Developmental Psychology and is trained and knowledgeable in several different modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Relational Frame Theory (RFT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. In his work, he frequently draws from multiple modalities, theories, and interventions and leverages expertise in attachment relationships when tailoring a treatment regimen to the unique needs of each client. Dr. Bond is a member of the California Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association and consults regularly with other psychologists in order to hone new skills and gain additional insights into the therapeutic process.
Prior to working in the field of psychology, he earned an M.Ed. while serving as an intermediate school educator through Teach For America. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, writing on topics related to mental health, woodworking, hiking, and finding new ways to keep his indoor plants thriving.
