Dr. Brittany Beyerlein earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP), at Alliant International University, with a specialized focus in working with children/adolescents and families. She completed her Predoctoral Internship at UC Davis Children’s Hospital, Child and Adolescent Abuse, Resource, Evaluation Diagnostic and Treatment Center (CAARE Center), and her Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) and TIES for Families.
Dr. Beyerlein has specialized training in evidenced-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for mood and anxiety disorders (e.g., depression, OCD, social anxiety, specific phobias, etc.), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for children with disruptive behaviors. In addition, Dr. Beyerlein has a background in family therapy, integrating psychological interventions to address issues within family relationships. Dr. Beyerlein often collaborates with the larger systems involved in her client’s lives, including schools, in order to help her client’s function at their highest level. In addition to treating children and adolescents, Dr. Beyerlein has experience treating adults with anxiety, depression, and a history of trauma or child maltreatment. Dr. Beyerlein also conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations/testing for children and adults.
