Britt Kusserow (she/her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a specialization in LGBTQ+ affirmative psychotherapy. She completed her master’s degree at Antioch University Los Angeles and holds an undergraduate degree in Religious Studies.
Britt has worked in residential treatment for a number of years in both California and Vermont. During that time, she has utilized personal and professional experience to speak at conferences, create and facilitate staff trainings, and create and facilitate therapeutic groups centering and affirming the LGBTQ+ experience, for both adolescents and young adults. Most recently, Britt worked with Optimum Performance Institute in Los Angeles where she designed, implemented and oversaw her first intentional LGBTQ+ program. At Optimum Performance Institute, she also implemented and facilitated mandatory staff trainings centered on best practices with LGBTQ+ participants.
As a therapist at Visions, Britt utilizes a relational, strengths-based approach and elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to support clients through identity development/synthesis, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation, as they navigate treatment and next steps. In her free time, Britt enjoys spending time with her partner, hiking, camping, and making music.
